Coach James played at Patrick Henry Community College in 2016 whilst earning All-American Status. James then transferred to Wayland Baptist University and attended from 2017 to 2020. In that time he won back-to-back Conference titles, one Conference tournament and an NAIA National Championship. James finished as Wayland’s all-time leading goal scorer, received three first team all SAC awards, and was captain in his senior year.

Graduated from Wayland in 2020 with a Bachelors in Business Administration specialization in Sports Management. Now studying for a Masters in Teaching in Physical Education at Hastings College.
